A queer supernatural horror short directed written by Chris Woodley and by Daniel Holme.

Zi, an ambitious trans journalist, his collaborator Shelby and boyfriend Noah travel to a remote woodland retreat to investigate the legacy of a recently deceased political figure. What begins as a research trip soon spirals into something far more unsettling when strange clues begin to surface around the house—fragments of old newspapers, eerie sounds in the woods, and the lingering presence of a teenage paperboy who disappeared decades earlier. As the past begins to bleed into the present, the trio uncover a buried story that powerful people tried to silence.

Blending supernatural horror with political satire, The Paper Boyz explores the tension between celebrated public figures and the victims hidden in their shadows. Through a distinctly queer lens, the film asks what happens when history refuses to stay buried—and when the truth finally demands to be delivered.
Dark, suspenseful, and socially resonant, The Paper Boyz is both a chilling ghost story and a meditation on justice, memory, and the voices that refuse to be forgotten.
